Eduardo Cenci
Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics of the University at Nebraska at Omaha. I obtained my Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I also completed the Delta Certificate in Teaching and Learning.
My main research interests are migration, labor mobility, and rural development broadly defined. In particular, I am interested in the role of migration in spreading knowledge and accelerating economic transformations.
As an educator, I strive to make economic education relevant and accessible to all students. I have experience teaching Principles of Economics, Microeconomics, Quantitative Program Evaluation, and Applied Econometrics.
I grew up on a farm in central Brazil and worked for years in my family’s farming business before transitioning to academia. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, reading sci-fi, and practicing kickboxing and roping.
